COOPERSTOWN NY A BASEBALL FAN’S CHURCH

This last week I went with my 12 yearold to Cooperstown, NY. He played in a tournament with his Baseball team. The squad did not do very well , but the experience was great.

We went to the Baseball Hall of Fame, which was incredible along with the baseball history floors (two and three) Pete Rose and Barry Bonds stuff is in there (Not in the Hall of Fame). The real gem however is Double Day Field located down the block from the Hall. You feel the clock turn back as you walk up the grandstand. Ruth Mantle Robinson all played on this field.

Cooperstown, NY is a throwback in time a tiny town about four hours from Boston and five hours from New York City. If you play you the horses you can also take in Saratoga which is a must for any racing fan it is about 8o miles from Cooperstown. It rained all afternoon the day I was there, but it was still a great day.

Cooperstown a Must !!!
