We split yesterday winning with the favored Red Sox and losing with the Astros as a huge underdog. The value was there but Backe struggled with control and started leaving the ball up. It was an obvious possibility against a loaded lineup on an offensive day at Wrigley but the play had to be made.
Tuesday’s win with the Rays put us over the $1000 (1078) mark since we started keeping track at Sharpbettor.com. If you have bet $100 on each of my releases that would be your return. Congrats to those who have participated in the winning and jump on board to the rest of you. It’s never too late.
Baseball season is traditionally the most difficult time of year for us to show substantial gains but we’re well on our way to our third consecutive profit making season. Tip of the cap to Jack Boss for his input with the American League. Jack is hitting 63% of the plays he has given me from his office in Evanston, Illinois.
Only one release today and you can find it on the guaranteed picks page. I did also bet the Mets. I felt I caught a good number late last night and jumped on it. It’s likely a winner but I can’t give it out with a clear conscience. The profit margin is to tight to be paying a ‘juice’ on a winner. Occasionally I find great value on a -170 or so but generally I try to keep it below -150 for the picks on the site. It’s the first bet I’ve made in months which hasn’t been a release.
I had the pleasure of grabbing dinner and a few dinks with some old friends from NotIowa.com Tuesday night at Lucky Strike inside the Rio. Continued success on that terrific production and I hope everyone enjoys themselves this weekend.
